Energy Saving Air Curtains- A Hygienic Processing Facility Designed by Mitzvah

energy savings air curtains

Air Curtain is a hygienic processing facility that is designed by mitzvah. The air curtains are suitable for every type of field like- warehouses, restaurants, shopping complexes, malls, salons, offices, etc. to keep the dust, flies, insects, bad odor away while maintaining the inside temperature. If you are looking for energy saving air curtains then, go through the Mitzvah air curtain website www.mitzvah.in.

In this blog, you will get to know how air curtain makes your environment clean and dirt free-

No matter what building you have, whether it’s an office, school, restaurant, or retail store, it can be difficult to prevent heat loss when there is a lot of traffic. For any building with more doors open than closed, energy-efficient air curtains have the potential to significantly reduce energy costs, but how do they work?

Opening or closing doors allow heat (and energy) to escape from the building. Warm air rises and flows out of the open door, followed by cooler air, replacing it at the lower level. Of course, this happens in any room or building, but doors that open and close frequently or stay open all the time can speed up the process. As more  cooler/warmer air escapes, your cooling/heating system has to work harder to replace it, increasing your energy bills.

Energy-saving air curtains create airflow through the door, creating a “barrier” between the air inside the building and the air outside. These air curtains often have heating elements that increase the temperature of the air to reduce uncomfortable cold drafts as people pass through an open door.

Using air curtains as a barrier ensures that the energy used to heat the building space is not wasted. This results in an overall reduction in the building’s energy consumption, carbon footprint, and operating costs. In fact, recent research in Finland shows that air curtains can reduce door air leakage by up to 86%.

Do you know air curtains can help us save millions of hard-earned money?

A simple mathematical calculation can prove this. Let’s see how:

Energy Calculation

E = m C ∆T

m: Mass of Air

C: Specific heat of Air at a given Temperature

∆T: Temperature Difference

m = Density X Volume

The density of Air at 40˚C = 1.127 Kg/cu. Meter

C = Specific Heat = 1.005 KJ / (Kg ˚C)

∆T = Temperature Difference = 15˚C

(assuming the outside temperature is 40˚C and the inside is 25˚C)

Volume = Area X Velocity of Air from Door X Time of Opening

(Say : Door Size = 8ft X 4 ft

Velocity = 1 m/s = 200 fpm

Time of Opening = 1 min

Volume = 32 X 200 X 1 = 6400 cu. ft. = 181.22 cu. meter)

m = Density X Volume

(from Above = 1.127 Kg/cu. meter X 181.22 cu. meter

= 204 Kgs)

E = m C ∆T

= 204 kgs X 1.005 KJ / (Kg ˚C) X 15˚C

= 3075.3 KJ = 0.85425 KWh

Thus –

India if Per KWH cost of Power is Rs 8.10

The cost of Opening the Door of Size 8ft X 4ft for 1 min is = Rs 6.92

Cost of Running an Air Curtain of 4 ft = 400W (Input Power) for 1 minute = 6paise

Rate per kWh X Time X Power Input

8.10 X 1/60 X 0.4 = 5.4 paisa

Net Saving = Rs 6.92 – 0.06 = Rs 6.86

Saving per Hour= Rs.7*60min=Rs.420 per Hour

Thus, you can see how Air Curtains help us save Rs. 420/hour. Also, they create a comfortable and amiable environment by keeping mosquitoes, flies, and other pollutants away.

However, air curtains can only deliver on their energy-saving promises if they are properly designed, manufactured, and installed by experts in the field. As with most technologies aimed at reducing waste and increasing efficiency, air curtains must be sized and selected for the application or they will not achieve the desired thermal and energy savings. Therefore, to ensure that your investment is worthwhile, you should definitely use the services of a trusted provider.

Specification facts to know about Air curtain manufacturers!

What makes good air curtain?

An Air curtain technically, is a fan-powered air device that automatically creates an invisible air barrier wherever it is being installed. It is mostly used over the doorway to separate efficiently two different environments and it makes this separation without limiting or interrupting the access of the people or vehicles on the premises. Air curtain manufacturers make sure that they are highly operational and progressive.

There are many Air curtain manufacturing units and their worldwide users but not all are fully aware and familiar with its usage and specifications. Thus, we have listed some characteristics and tips that all users should keep in mind to choose the right product.

  • The first and foremost important thing is the height of the door
  • Choose an air curtain according to the width of the door
  • The location of the building should be the determinant factor for the level of protection needed against weather conditions
  • Use air curtains if the focused building has several doors in the same area,
  • If the building has several stories connected by escalators/stairs
  • Air curtains are best to measure pressure differences between the inside and outside of the building
  • Door characteristics also matter to choose an air curtain, if frequently closing and opening, then go for sensor based device, or else manual.
  • Characteristics of the ventilation and air conditioning installation
  • Voltage and electrical power availability also affect the performance of air curtain
  • What type of business, location, and office equipment are there is also vital to get the appropriate product.
  • The fitting style of an air curtain is also responsible for its performance such as free hanging or recessed, horizontal or vertical installation, heated or unheated, etc.

Air Curtains Supplier in India- Things to Consider Before Selecting a Vendor

Air Curtains Supplier in India

With air curtains supplier in India, Selecting a vendor is one of the most crucial tasks before selecting an air curtain. A reliable vendor will understand your needs and help you choose the air curtain that is best suited to your requirements. There are various important factors listed below that you must consider before selecting your vendor:

  1. Manufacturer: You should know the original source i.e. from where your vendor procures the machines. The manufacturer must be a reputed one in the field and enjoy great goodwill in the market.
  2. Experience: To a great extent, the experience of the vendor decides his reliability. Better experience implies a better understanding and knowledge of market conditions and customer requirements. Therefore, it becomes imperative to analyze the experience of the vendor.
  3. A number of installations: Choose the vendor who has already served for a number of years. Get to know the number of installations done by them within the country and around the world (if any). A large number of installations would imply better knowledge and a better understanding of the field.
  4. Technically Equipped: Their production unit should be technically advanced in terms of working and delivery. It will provide a better breakthrough in the competitive market. The vendor should be able to guide you on various kinds of flow patterns and workability and should be able to customize a solution whenever required.
  5. Warranty and part Availability: Many vendors commit to a warranty that is beyond their scope. As an international standard, a manufacturer should be able to provide support for all the parts and make them available for a minimum tenure of 10 years. Generally, traders overcommit and shed their responsibility when parts are needed.

What should be the Right Velocity AsPer AMCA/NSF Guidelines

Everyone in the industry struggles with the above question and many times, engineers out of their experience or some thought specify velocities at different points, either on top of the door or on the floor, etc.

The Air curtain Manual by AMCA Specifies the right velocity parameters. The same is mentioned in NSF Guidelines also.

The velocity specifications as mentioned in AMCA Publication, 222-08 Application manual for Air Curtains, are as follows:

Application Manual for Air Curtains; Section 8.6.1.2

8.6.1.2 ANSI/NSF37- Air Curtains for Entranceways in food and food service establishments. The NSF standard establishes criteria for ACU air performance, construction, design, and material type. An ACU construction that complies with this standard is considered by the food service industry to provide effective flying insect protection to an entryway by deterring flying insects from entering through the opening or nesting in the ACU. These criteria can be summarized into basic principles that are intended to create a clean and healthy environment.

  1. Laboratory Methods of Testing Air Curtain Units for Aerodynamic Performance Rating: This AMCA standard defines the test methods that can be used to generate data for the typical types of air curtains performance. This data can then be used to compare different models for aerodynamic performance. Note that the data generated from the tests described in the standard does not define an ACU’s relative effectiveness.

If the data is measured and generated from an AMCA accredited laboratory, the product can be licensed to bear the AMCA seal (if applied for) under AMCA 211, Certified Rating Program- Product Rating Manual for Fan Air Performance. The AMCA Seal represents the fact that the ACU has been independently tested by a third party, adding credibility to manufacturer ratings.

The performance data generated, as defined by ANSI/AMCA 220 and simplified here, are:

  • Average Outlet Velocity- The mathematical derivation of a velocity flow rate by dividing the air volume flow rate by the air curtain discharge area. This value should be used with outlet velocity uniformity to compare different ACUs.
  • Velocity Projection- The average of the peak velocities measured along the ACU discharge nozzle at predetermined widths at specified distances away from the ACU. These values can also be used to determine velocity uniformity at said specified distance.
  • Outlet Velocity Uniformity- This is a measure of the consistency of the discharge velocities across the ACU width expressed in a percentage determined by a standard deviation method.
  • Airflow Rate- Physically measured by a recognized air volume test chamber using ANSI/AMCA 210, Laboratory Methods of Testing Fans for Certified Aerodynamic Performance Rating.
  • Power Rating– This is the electrical power actually consumed by the entire unit(in KW) during the Air Volume Flow Rate; not to be confused with the mechanical energy equivalent to the unit horsepower.
  1. Air Curtains Entranceways in Food and Food Service Establishments: The NSF standard establishes criteria for ACU air performance, construction, design, and material type. An ACU construction that complies with this standard is considered by the food service industry to provide effective flying insect protection to an entryway by deterring flying insects from entering through the opening or nesting in the ACU.

These criteria can be summarized into basic principles that are intended to create a clean and healthy environment. The air performance defined in this standard is geared toward protection from flying insects.

The opening types are defined by three categories:

  • Customer Entryway
  • Service Entryway
  • Drive through Window

Each type has its own minimum performance requirement.

  1. Customer Entryway: The Customer Entryway test requires a maximum mounting height declaration and a minimum air velocity of 3.05 m/s (600fpm). Velocities are measured within 200mm (8 in.) deep by ACU nozzle width wide area broken into 50mm*150 mm (2in.*6in.) grids, 0.9m (3ft) from the floor.
  2. Service Entryway: The service entryway test requires a maximum mounting height declaration and a minimum air velocity of 8.15m/s (1600 fpm). Velocities are measured within a 75mm (3in.) deep by ACU nozzle width wide area broken into 75mm*150mm(3in.* 6in.) grids, 0.9m(3ft) from the floor.
  3. Drive-through Window: The drive-through Window test requires only a minimum air velocity of 3.05 m/s (600 fpm), 1/3 the distance of the vertical opening above the service window countertop. Velocities are measured within a 200mm (8 in.) deep by ACU nozzle width wide area broken into 50mm * 150 mm (2 in.*6 in.) grids.

The design and construction requirements are intended to prevent the nesting of vermin, the accumulation of dirt, debris, and moisture; and to provide accessibility for servicing, cleaning, and inspection.

The material requirements are intended to ensure that the equipment is resistant to penetration from vermin and wear with the respect to food safety (i.e., the effect of food, heat, refrigerants, cleaning, and sanitizing compounds).

Lastly, ACU units can be tested, certified, and listed to standard ANSI/NSF 37 by nationally recognized testing laboratories and certifying bodies that have a food service program. Some of these agencies include NSF and the corresponding NSF Mark, UL.

Classification of Air Curtains manufacturers in India Based on Flow and Fans Type

Air Curtains can be mainly classified into two types:

  • Recirculating and
  • Non-recirculating Air Curtains

Recirculating Air Curtain gathers and returns the discharged air in the air curtains inlet. The process is continuously repeated with a plenum built into the door that connects back to the inlet of the air curtain via the duct.

Non- recirculating Air Curtain captures fresh air from the environment and discharges it from the unit. Since the same air is not recirculated back, these air curtains can be termed non-recirculating air curtains.

Recirculating air curtains are more efficient than their counterparts but still, non -recirculating air curtains are more popular. The majority of installations today are non-recirculating due to their cost efficiency and ease of installation.

Directions of Flow:

There are 3 possible directions of blow-out air streams, both for recirculating and non-circulating curtains:

  • Horizontal Mounting from top to bottom: Horizontal mounting is the most common Installation and most economical way to mount an air curtain. Here, the air curtain is installed horizontally across the top of the opening and the air is discharged from top to bottom of the door.
  • Vertical Mounting from left to right or right to left: Here, the curtain is mounted perpendicular to the ground and the air is expelled from left to right and right to left. Vertical discharge mostly requires mounting curtains on both sides of the door which adds up the total cost of installation. Normally, this kind of installation is required in places with very wide or high door openings.
  • Horizontal discharge from bottom to top: This installation is not very common and is specially used in the case of hot oven applications. The curtain units require special frames and are mounted at the door level and the installation is carried out under specialized guidance.

Type of Fans

Air Curtains can be designed and manufactured with various types of Fans. The three most commonly used fan types are:

Centrifugal

Most air curtain units employ centrifugal fans that use a forward or backward-curved impeller. Centrifugal fans make use of blades to drag air into a circular motion. The pressure of an incoming air stream is increased by blades mounted on a circular hub and alters the direction of the outward flowing air, usually by 90 degrees. Centrifugal fans move air radically and outwards through the vortex housing. Centrifugal fans provide a stronger and more stable air flow than axial fans and therefore, need a higher power input.

Axial

As the name suggests, an axial fan causes air to flow through it in an axial direction. The fan blades rotate around an axis and draw air in parallel to that axis. In other words, the air flows axially in and axially out which forces the air out in the same direction. The fan creates a pressure difference that forces flow through the fan.

Axial fans create a large volume of airflow, but the air flows they create are of low pressure. Therefore, these fans need a low-power input for operation. There is a wide range of axial flow fans. It may vary from low or medium-pressure fans to high-pressure fans. Because of the3 cool and low-pressure high-volume air flows they create, axial fans are best suited for many general-purpose applications.

Cross Flow

Cross-flow fans are derivative fans and comprise a housing with a rear wall and a vortex wall. Within that housing, there is an impeller surrounded by forwarding curved blades. When the air moves through a cross-flow fan, it flows transversely and passes through its blades twice.

In cross-flow fans, the air enters in a perpendicular direction to the motor shaft and is detected by the fan blades and expelled. These fans have a long, rectangular shape and use either an alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) motor. These fans are also referred to as tubular fans or tangential fans because of their long and narrow shape and airflow pattern. Unlike centrifugal fans, in cross-flow fans, the air flows through the fan itself rather than through an inlet. They provide a high-pressure coefficient and are preferred for their low noise. The most common application for them is a split air conditioner.

All the above types of fans have their own advantages and disadvantages and can be used for different kinds of applications.

Air Curtain Benefits- Save Money & Protect Your Environment

Air Curtains Benefits

Mitzvah Air curtains manufacturers help you save money and protect your environment. The air curtain is a multifunctional product that can be used in different areas. It is a versatile machine capable of solving all kinds of problems we face every day.

Air curtains have many advantages, which is why they are widely used in many industries and different fields. Air curtains come in different sizes and can be installed in different ways to achieve the desired effect. Installing an air curtain system in your business is the best step to solve many of your problems.

There are many benefits of installing commercial air curtains in your work area.

5 Major Benefits of Air Curtains Include:

  1. Environmental separation: The air curtain forms an invisible barrier, preventing the flow of air to the other side. Outdoor environments often have a variety of unpleasant odors and pollutants. Unpleasant odors and exhaust gases are especially difficult to avoid in areas close to industrial sites, waste disposal sites, or sewage treatment plants. Air curtains help maintain a comfortable environment within a facility by preventing the entry of unwanted dust, outside odors, and pollutants.
  2. Temperature control: The temperature difference between the two areas will naturally generate air exchange between these two areas. Warm air exits the top of the doorway and is replaced by cooler, denser air entering from the bottom. Greater temperature differences just result in higher air leaks and energy losses. Air curtains prevent this exchange by protecting the conditioned environment in different areas and helping to control the temperature.
  3. Save money: We all know that changing the temperature costs a lot of money. For example, if we were to introduce hot air into a furnace, we would need burners and fuel. Likewise, to cool the air, we need an AHU (Air Handling Unit), a cooler, or a freezer. Whenever this conditioned air is wasted or lost, it results in an increase in our overall cost. By providing an effective barrier to conditioned air, air curtains provide an ideal solution that can save you money.
  4. Insect and Pest Control: Flying insects and pests can be a nuisance to anyone. The presence of these insects in an area can lead to food contamination, unhealthy conditions, and other related problems. The powerful airflow created by the air curtain prevents these harmful pests and other flying insects from entering the premises, thus maintaining hygienic conditions for everyone.
  5. Work in extreme conditions: The air curtain creates an invisible barrier that isolates different temperature zones without hindering the movement of people and products. Many industries use heaters or furnaces, while others use cold rooms and other cooling systems. Air curtains work in both cases, effectively sealing the area and preventing air exchange and energy loss.
  • Freezers / Chillers / Cold Storage: Air curtains are great for cold storage because they can significantly reduce energy loss by keeping cold air in and hot air out when doors are open and in use. Air curtains are known to reduce losses by up to 90%.
  • Hot furnaces: Air curtains manufacturers have proven beneficial for industries that use hot furnaces and industrial conveyors. They can be used to contain extreme heat and contain hot air inside industrial conveyors or furnaces. This results in savings of up to 40% of the total kiln fuel consumption.

Mitzvah Air Curtains: Worried about CAPEX (Capital Expenditure)? No Problem!!!

Mitzvah Air Curtains

The protective barrier provided by Mitzvah Air Curtains keep harmful chemicals away from your valuable products and machinery. This reduction in pollution reduces the wear and tear of parts and other useful machinery and maintains the quality of your product.

If you are worried about Capital expenditure, No problem Mitzvah is here:

  • Mitzvah Air Curtains payback period

The payback period is the time it takes to recoup the cost of an investment. Simply put, it is the period of time it takes for an investment to reach its limit. Air curtains construction and energy saving feature, result in a very fast payback period of up to 6 months in air conditioning systems and as little as 4 months in hot oven applications. The quantity of payback varies based on the place and context of use.

i. Payback in a less busy area

The air curtains help to maintain the barrier that separates the outside and inside environments, therefore keeping the temperature stable. And, since there is less movement in areas like offices, shops, and personal spaces, the payback period is quite short and can be easily verified before and after 4 months.

ii. Payback at a place with moderate movements

Payback assumes the above-mentioned estimate, which shows that an air curtain saves on average Rs 7/minute, so a big store or major shop on average works 8–10 hours a day and 26 days a month (Sunday closed). The monthly savings will be roughly Rs 12,000, for a total savings of Rs 60,000 in 5 months.

iii. Payback in locations where there is constant movement

Wherever there is constant movement, the air curtains have to work hard and forever to maintain a consistent air temperature. As a consequence, with continued usage, it will use more power and, as a result, the investment can be restored in less than 6 months. Mechanical components may wear and deteriorate with prolonged use, resulting in increased costs.

Effect of Air Curtains Price on CAPEX

Capital expenditures, or “CapEx,” is the sum of money spent by a company to purchase, upgrade, and maintain physical assets such as land, buildings, plants, and equipment. The main goals are to protect the company’s assets and keep the cash flow positive. So, in this case, the air curtain does the things that are needed in a more efficient manner. Air curtain has been called a “cash cow” for any business because it brings in a lot of money over time for a small initial investment. With a payback period of only four to six months, it has no effect on costs but does lower BTL by lowering operational expenses and increasing margin.

i. Air Curtain in Itself is a cash cow with low investment and high returns.
ii. With a payback period of just 4-6 months, It has no effect on costing rather it lowers the BTL, by lowering the operational cost and hence increasing the margin.
iii. Thus money invested in CAPEX will give a reduction in operational cost.

By avoiding leakage of conditioned air and keeping the mosquitoes and flies away, mitzvah air curtains help increase the comfort level of both external customers and internal employees. A comfortable environment and satisfied employees result in increasing the overall business efficiency.

Air Curtains Price: Answers to the Most Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ about Air curtains price

Air curtains price generally vary by manufacturer. Quality, type and usage are three key factors that affect the cost of an air curtain system. Mitzvah answers all frequently asked questions about air curtains so you can assess whether they are valuable to your business.

Frequently Asked Question about Air Curtains price are-

i. What is the Thickness of Sheet and Extrusion of Air Curtain

Some studies show that the thickness of a PVC air curtain doesn’t have much of an effect on the flow of air, and even if it did, the air barrier tends to fail often even if it did. Because of this, there is no effect on saving energy. So, the thinnest option, which is between 1 and 2 mm and fits in a pocket, could be chosen.

ii. What is the Tank Powder Coating Process for Air Curtain?

The nine-tank powder coating method is often used in large businesses, but a seven-tank powder coating system works just as well. On the 9-tank machine, there are two small steps that the 7-tank machine doesn’t have: pre-degreasing (1st step) and a water rinse (8th step). The water rinse doesn’t do much because it happens after the third and fifth stages as well.

iii. Will Aluminium shell of the Motor Effect on Air Curtains Price?

The metal case of a motor is usually made of cast iron, steel plate, or aluminium. The market always agrees that the aluminium shell motor achieves its goal of looking good. Due to its low mechanical strength, the aluminium cover on the motor frame size 315 is almost nonexistent. But the two materials don’t change anything else about how well the motor works.

iv. How does Copper Widing will work on Air Curtains Price?

There are many different ways to wind the coils of a motor. Here are some other options and what they would mean:
We can take

  • Aluminium:

The weight of the motor has another effect as well. Aluminium is less conductive than copper, so to get the same amount of power, you need bigger lines and motors.

    Gold and silver:

These wires have less resistance and are less likely to corrode than aluminium or copper wires. After repeated movement, aluminium wires are more likely to break due to flex fatigue. Also, silver cables are better at carrying electricity than copper ones. Gold and silver are also much more expensive than copper.

    Copper:

It is the most common material for magnet wire because it conducts electricity well and is cheap. We use copper with a very thin enamel coating and tightly coil the wire to make the winding that will give the motor the electromagnetic field it needs to work. Copper is a good choice for motor windings because it conducts electricity well and is cheap. But because it is thick and heavy, it might not be the best choice for motors that are rarely lifted.

v. What is Virgin Plastic & Dynamic Balancing in terms of Air Curtains?

Post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR), which is often used in air curtains, is expensive and breaks down quickly in the environment. Even though virgin plastic is easy to find and inexpensive, it breaks down slowly and takes decades to do so. So, if a company plans to buy air curtains for more than five years, it can use plastic that hasn’t been used before.

The dynamic balancing is best maintained in the magnetic air curtain because it maintains the door very efficiently without letting out any intrusion. Other air curtains maintain dynamic balancing through the thickness as well as the lower load of the air curtains.

vi. What is Precision in Machines

Modern, computerized machine tools must be able to make precise cuts and close tolerances with a high degree of repeatability and accuracy. CNC machine tools, which are controlled by computers, can do this.

Electric heating has become more effective thanks to new ideas. Before, manufacturers of air curtains used inefficient electric heating coils in the airstream to stop the flow of air. Electric parts have been added to the two air inlets of the blower housing so that the blower can send continuous, smooth airflow to the air discharge nozzles. This makes the seal at the doorway open better.

FIND ADVANTAGES OF BUY AIR CURTAINS FROM MITZVAH

Buying Air Curtains

The air curtain – is one of the types of innovative equipment designed to prevent heat loss of a building through the planes of door or door openings in places with high traffic: in industrial shops, public and residential buildings, shopping centers, warehouses, and restaurants. In other words, it device, also known as an air door blows a controlled stream of air across an opening to the other side to create an air seal. While air curtains are not the same as air conditioners, they are highly effective at maintaining the interior temperature. They are sometimes referred to as “invisible doors” as they create an invisible barrier between inside and outside environments. Sometimes referred to as fly fans. This seal separates different environments while allowing a smooth, uninterrupted flow of traffic and unobstructed vision through the opening. The air stream which is let out from the machine at whatever point the entryway opens causes no limitation in development. Buy Air curtains at a range in price depending on features. Air curtains are available with horizontal or vertical installation, this is determined depending on local conditions.

What does the air curtain do?

An air curtain or air door is a device that prevents air or contaminants from escaping from one location to another. A typical air curtain design is a fan located above the building entrance, pointing downwards. Well, if you’re an engineer, site manager, or architect, you probably don’t have everything you need to know about the benefits and prices of air curtain systems.

FUNCTIONING

Generally, the air in the curtain entering through the inlet grille, sometimes with filter functions, is compressed by internal fans and forced through an air outlet, which is directed at the open doorway. The filter protects the interior components (heat exchanger, fans, electronics, etc.) from dust and particles. The fans of the air curtain can be direct or belt-driven. The most frequently used types are centrifugal, axial, and cross-flow some air outlets and/or lamellas can be adjustable to increase the performance of the air curtain according to each situation. Most air curtains are installed horizontally, across the top of the opening, and the air is expelled from top to bottom of the door. Vertical air curtains can be installed on one or both sides of the door.

Horizontal installation integrated on the floor is the most effective in thermodynamic terms and at the same time the most expensive one to install and problematic where public pedestrian traffic crosses the doorway for obvious reasons. So it’s only used in some special industrial applications. Types of air curtains: non-recirculating or recirculating. A non-recirculating unit discharges the air to the environment. Otherwise recirculating collects and returns the air from the discharged air. Recirculating air curtains are more efficient but the majority of installations are non-recirculating due to lower costs

In this blog, we’ll discuss the five main benefits of air curtains.

1) Air curtain saves space: First, the owner saved a lot of electricity by installing an air curtain, an energy-saving device. But air curtains can also reduce capital costs and maximize footprint. The Coz Air Curtain is easy to install and sits elegantly on top of the doorway.

2) These devices facilitate your employees:  Air curtains use less additional heat than other heaters, help improve employee comfort, and reduce sticking by providing drier floors in entry areas during inclement weather. This helps keep traffic flowing and improves hygiene by reducing insect intrusions and keeping dust and odors out.

3) Air curtains help you save your energy: Although the air curtain consumes electrical energy during operation, it can save net energy by reducing the heat transfer between the two rooms (this heat transfer occurs by mass transfer when the air in the room mixes at the edges).

A closed and well-sealed door is the ultimate solution to reducing energy loss. However, the benefits of physical doors are lost when your business has to deliver items to passersby entering and leaving for most of the day.

The task of the air curtain is to cool and heat the space where many customers enter which actually leads to a way of saving energy in many ways. Air curtains keep doors open late, inviting your potential clients into your center from the street. These devices also allow a large amount of conditioned air inside the building so that it cannot escape to the outside.

Air curtains and physical doors can be used together. When the solid door is open, the air curtain opens and minimizes air exchange between the inside and the outside.

Additionally, by reducing heating or air conditioning costs in a building, air curtains can pay for themselves within a few years.

4) Ease of Access and Design Flexibility:  Air curtains provide an invisible barrier without compromising the building design and provide concealed protection from external elements.

Additionally, air curtains are particularly effective in areas where the door is open for extended periods of time and the door needs to remain open throughout the day. These devices can then even be used above entrances that must remain open for operational reasons. In addition, air curtains are not only useful at the main entrance of the company but also installed at the entrance of car parks and food preparation areas, etc.

5) The payback period for air curtains is very short:  The combined energy and building savings of air curtains add up to a potential payback period of one to three years compared to more permanent and expensive buildings. in conclusion: Well, we want you to know all the essentials about buy air curtains.
